Dr. Ankur Arora

Dr. Ankur Arora

Dad. Husband. Friend.

In Tarang's Words

His wife, his partner, his everything

Ankur was loyal and faithful — the kind of person who always called, always stayed in touch. He listened deeply, and the questions he asked came from a place of genuine, endless curiosity.

As a husband, he believed in freedom. He always listened. He always said, "You can do it." He wanted to make sure I evolved, grew with time. He helped me accept myself, love myself. He wasn't just my partner — he was the love of my life. A true soulmate, who always had time.

As a father, he loved his children beyond measure. He named his daughter even before she was born — Ankur ki Anshi. He always listened to her. Usne jo naam utha liya, woh toh hona hi hai.

Every Saturday when I went to work, he would take Anshi out and come back with things I would never approve of for the house — parrots, fish, water dispensers, and all kinds of surprises, all chosen with love and mischief.

For Rithik and Ridhant, he was their morning person. Every single morning, until they started school, he took them out to the park to play. His ready-made solution for babysitting was always, "Chalo bahaar chalte hain." And then he and the kids would go off on their little adventures — laughing, exploring, eating junk — while I was busy.

Weekends were for being out together — visiting places, having fun, living life. He would always say, "Ab kahaan jaana hai? Tu hi plan kar, chalte hain."

He was my strength. My person. My Mr Someone.

He never shied away from dancing — Salsa or Punjabi — from playing tennis, from being the life of our home and every party. I learnt to dance because of him. I learnt to truly live because of him.

He was the best person in the world. He rarely got angry — but when he did, God save the world. And then, just as quickly, he would say, "Chal na, let's move on," to whoever he was upset with, and suddenly everything felt right again.

There never was — and there never will be — anyone like him.
